Joy Jackson left the D.C. Policy Center in March 2019

Joy joined the D.C. Policy Center in January 2019. Joy previously worked as a Community Development Researcher at ICF where she helped state and local governments design and implement their Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) programs. Additionally, she has held research positions at the World Resources Institute, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, focused on climate change adaptation and disaster response. Joy holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, where she studied international affairs and physical geography.
