Charles C. (Sandy) Wilkes is Chairman of The Wilkes Company, a real estate development company headquartered in Washington, D.C..
Mr. Wilkes is President of the Washington Children’s Foundation, a Trustee of the Federal City Council where he serves on the Executive Committee, President of The National Theatre, Chairman of the D.C. Policy Center, and a founding member of The Developer Roundtable. He is also Chairman of the NoMa Parks Foundation.
Mr. Wilkes is a graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School; Amherst College, where he serves as Chairman of the Mead Art Museum Advisory Board; and the American University Law School. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and has been a guest lecturer at several Washington, DC universities on land use, planning and development issues.
